When you are lazy, its always a bad hair day!
I have had the same basic hair cut all of my life. I do not have the patience to blow dry, curl, straighten or color my hair (you wouldn't either if your thick hair was almost to your waist). And I am too cheap to pay someone to do it for me. I usually wash and wear my hair. My hair is healthy and with some natural wave to it- my choice of styling technique gets me by.
Well, I was feeling froggy and thought I would go to a real salon for a special cut and style. The sytlist was almost shocked when I told her that I have never straightened my hair. She offered to do this for me as a "special treat" so my husband would have to take me out for dinner (?). (I agreed. An hour of straightening confirmed for me that I do not care to employ this technique).
I bring this all up because of something funny my daughter said to me this morning....
I washed my hair and now that it is much shorter, it is very bouncy and wavey (at least compared to the straight hair I had when I came home from the salon). While brushing D.A.'s hair this morning, she commented on the change in the texture of my hair and accused me of "trying to steal" her "look"! My tongue is still bleeding as I had to bite it to keep from laughing.
What I find so funny is that she is 6 and recongnizes that she has a "look"!
